Introduction to Geophysics for Geoscientists and Engineers – Geophysical fundamentals with case histories
A course on geophysical fundamentals followed by integrated geophysical case histories illustrating the business value of geophysical apps used to solve operational problems and increase profitability in the energy industries.
Course Format:
This two day, 15 hour, short course will answer those questions.
After introducing some Geophysical Fundamentals, the case histories illustrate the integrated geophysical tools used to solve an oil and gas operational problem from concept to abandonment. The learner will be able to identify specific geophysical tools that could apply to their petroleum and CCS projects through the lessons learned from the case histories.
The course is designed to identify a specific operational problem and provide an integrated geophysical tool to help solve that problem.
Who Should Attend:
The course is ideal for geologists, petroleum engineers, management, and financial analysts who want to understand the latest geophysical technology and be able to ask the tough questions confidently. The case histories give the learner a qualitative learning experience without understanding the mathematical details.
